Case Report Writing Course

SWIHM’s online case report writing course follows the CARE guidelines and supports authors in writing case reports for presentations and publications. The CARE guidelines, available from the EQUATOR Network and CARE have been endorsed by multiple medical journals. They aim to standardize the reporting of data from the point of care to improve the quality and transparency of case reports.

 
 
 
 

Complete Case Report Writing Course ($300). This course provides a step-by-step guide to help you efficiently write and present or publish a case report following the CARE guidelines. The course includes 12 short videos with handouts and articles, some in multiple languages. Upon registration, course participants also receive access to CARE-writer, SWIHM’s online app for writing case report preprints and case reports, for one year.

 
 

Course goals

  • Guide authors in writing high-quality, clear, and concise case reports and case report preprints following the CARE guidelines

  • Help authors produce case reports to be uploaded to preprint servers, presented as posters at conferences, or published in scientific journals

  • Encourage the incorporation of research hypotheses into published case reports

  • Enhance clinical reasoning skills through evidence-informed case reports

  • Inform clinical practice guideline development and refinement
